Dr. Noémi Nagy, Ph.D., M.Sc. is an assistant professor of Career and Technical Education in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Lifelong Learning at the University of South Florida. She is also affiliated with USF’s Nault Center for Entrepreneurship.
Her work centers on a question that is both scholarly and deeply practical: How can people build careers, ventures, and working lives that remain meaningful and sustainable over time?
A research-to-practice approach
Dr. Nagy works across the boundaries of scholarship, teaching, and applied innovation. She studies careers, entrepreneurship, age and work, negotiation, communication, and workforce ecosystems—then translates those insights into frameworks, tools, workshops, and new project concepts.
This integrated approach shapes every part of her work:
- Research identifies patterns, mechanisms, and possibilities.
- Teaching helps learners connect evidence to their own decisions.
- Practice projects turn ideas into tools and pathways.

Global and interdisciplinary collaboration
Dr. Nagy’s scholarly network spans institutions in the United States and Europe and reaches collaborators across nine countries. Her academic community has included connections with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the Accommodating Generations in Employment initiative at NYU Stern, and the Center for Humanistic Management at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.
Her collaborators come from management, psychology, education, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and career studies—an interdisciplinary mix that reflects the complexity of modern working lives.
