Dr. Noémi Nagy, Ph.D., M.Sc. develops research at the intersection of careers, entrepreneurship, aging, innovation, and the future of work. Her goal is both explanatory and practical: to understand how people navigate work over time and to turn those insights into useful tools, learning experiences, and partnerships.
Research streams
Career sustainability and career resources
This work examines the resources people need to sustain meaningful, healthy, and adaptable careers. It considers how psychological, social, and structural resources shape employability, opportunity, well-being, and long-term career agency.
Entrepreneurship across the lifespan
This stream explores entrepreneurship as a career pathway at different ages and life stages. It asks how identity, experience, timing, opportunity, and support systems shape who enters entrepreneurship—and who is able to thrive.
Platforms, ecosystems, and innovation
This work studies how digital tools, networks, education, and institutions can create stronger pathways between talent and opportunity. It also provides the foundation for Dr. Nagy’s research-to-practice projects.
Negotiation, communication, and workplace relationships
Dr. Nagy also studies and teaches integrative negotiation, gender and negotiation, conflict management, and effective communication. Her applied work includes a funded randomized field experiment on an Integrative Negotiation Checklist and research on women negotiating in male-dominated STEM contexts.
